nThambo Tree Camp has only five chalets, each sleeping two people. This creates an intimate and personal safari experience. The accommodation is unique with bedrooms at eye-level with the trees, offering a different perspective from the private balconies. Rooms have either twin or King beds, an en-suite bathroom and plenty of storage space.
There is an outdoor lounge and dining area under thatch, that offers guests unsurpassed views of the reserve, on-site waterhole and Drakensberg mountain range in the distance. A pool and deck with sun loungers and umbrellas completes the main area and offers a refreshing spot to relax all year round. Elephants are regular visitors
A rustic boma area with a firepit captures the traditional bush camp safari experience. Open to the sky and surrounded by a wooden kraal, the boma is where the warm evenings are spent sharing stories of the bush.
nThambo Tree Camp has 5 treehouse-style, solar-powered chalets, each sleeping a maximum of 2guests, ensuring a personal and private safari experience. The chalets are raised on wooden stilts and the floor is made from wooden decking. The walls are canvas and the roof is thatched; completing one of the most unique safari accommodation options in the Kruger.
In addition, each chalet has a veranda, which overlooks the endless plains in front of the camp with views of the Drakensberg mountain range in the distance. Each chalet has the option of being made up with a double bed or as a twin share.
All chalets are ensuite with a shower and toilet. None of the chalets have baths, only showers. Lighting is provided via solar power and a plug point in each chalet is available for guests to charge their camera batteries.
